Day By Day
- 01Day 1
Arrival – Entebbe
You will be met by our safari representative and transferred to your hotel, a 10-minute drive. Check in at Protea Hotel Entebbe. Depending on your flight time, an optional afternoon visit to the Botanical Gardens followed by a sunset cruise on Lake Victoria with drinks and snacks included. Dinner and overnight at Protea Hotel Entebbe, Deluxe room. (B)
- 02Day 2
Entebbe – Kibale Forest National Park
Early transfer to Entebbe airport for your scheduled flight to Kasese Airstrip, departing 07:00 or 12:30, a flight of 1 hour 15 minutes. On arrival you are met by your driver-guide and transferred 1 hour 30 minutes to Primate Lodge. Check in, enjoy lunch and relax. In the late afternoon, a guided nocturnal forest walk to see creatures of the night such as bush babies, potto and rare nocturnal birds. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge Kibale, luxury cottage. - 03Day 3
Chimpanzee habituation experience
Walk or drive to the trailhead for the start of an unforgettable adventure — spending the entire day with the chimpanzees as they wake up, feed, play, groom, hunt and rest. Follow them from their night nests until they build new ones in the evening, a rare privilege. Return to the lodge for a late lunch. In the evening, a guided nature walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community project rich in birds and monkeys. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge Kibale. (B, L, D)
- 04Day 4
Kibale – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Morning transfer to Bwindi, 7–8 hours, via the beautiful Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for tree-climbing lions, with a game drive en route. Continue through stunning mountain scenery to Bwindi. Check in and enjoy lunch, with a late afternoon village walk or time to relax. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs Lodge, superior room. - 05Day 5
Gorilla tracking in Bwindi
Early breakfast, then transfer to park headquarters for registration and briefing. Begin your gorilla trek — an exhilarating hike of 3–8 hours through dense rainforest in search of one of Bwindi's habituated gorilla families. Spend a magical hour with these gentle giants. Return to the lodge for a hot lunch or dinner depending on your trek duration, with the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs Lodge. (B, L, D)
- 06Day 6
Bwindi – Entebbe & departure
After a leisurely breakfast, transfer to Kihihi airstrip, about 1 hour, for your domestic flight back to Entebbe, departing around 09:25–11:00 and arriving approximately 12:00–13:30. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your outbound international flight. A day room can be arranged if required. (B)
