4 Days Tsavo East & Ngutuni Private Sanctuary
A short escape from the coast with a rare night game drive in a private 10,000-acre sanctuary.
Volcanic country, Mzima Springs and the Man Eaters of Tsavo.
Tsavo West is easy to reach off the main Nairobi–Mombasa road and offers tremendous views across diverse habitats — mountains, river forest, lakes and wooded grassland — with its plains bordering the southern Serengeti plains in Tanzania. Mzima Springs is the star attraction, a pool of natural spring water with underwater viewing hides for observing hippos. The park carries important history: the notorious Man Eaters of Tsavo preyed on the railway linesmen building the Uganda Railway in 1900, and Tsavo West was a major battleground in World War I. Chyulu Hills National Park is an extension of Tsavo West, a volcanic range whose most interesting flow is Shetani — "Devil" in Swahili.
