About Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is one of the best places on earth to see endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Trekking begins with registration and a briefing at park headquarters, followed by an exhilarating hike of anywhere between three and eight hours through dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family — and then a magical hour in their company. The park is reached through stunning mountain scenery, often via the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is famous for its tree-climbing lions.
